About Dr.
Kurley
James
M. Kurley, M.D.
attended Loyola
University in Chicago, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. He then entered the Loyola University Stritch School of
Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, and obtained his medical degree in
1979.
Dr. Kurley completed an internship in
internal medicine at Hines Veterans Administration Medical Center in
Hines, Illinois, from 1979 to 1980. He then moved west to
Albuquerque, New Mexico where he completed an internship and
residency in surgery. During his last year in the program, he
served as Chief Resident. From 1985 to 1987, Dr. Kurley
completed a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery.
In November of 1987, Dr. Kurley opened
his practice in plastic surgery
in Champaign, Illinois, and has maintained an active, thriving
practice since that time.
As
clinical professor at the University of Illinois College of
Medicine, Dr. Kurley has been privileged to work with many students
and assist them in their goal of entering medicine.
Dr. Kurley has also been on the executive committee of the Champaign
County Medical Society as well as being a past chairman of the
Department of Surgery, Provena Covenant Medical Center.
Dr.
Kurley is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
