Sclerotherapy is used to reduce visible veins, usually found on the legs. Dr. Kurley has been performing this procedure in an office setting for over 25 years.

Using a small, fine gauge needle, Dr. Kurley injects a sclerosing solution into the veins. The procedure takes less than thirty minutes and has little or no downtime. Dr. Kurley will recommend that you wear compression stockings for 3-4 days after treatment.

Since these veins do not generally cause symptoms, this procedure is considered cosmetic and is not covered by most health plans.

Sclerotherapy is also used for larger veins that are causing leg fatigue, soreness and swelling. In this instance your health insurance plan may cover treatment. Please contact your carrier for specific information. You will need to bring your insurance information to your appointment.
