Sagging Rear End? A Buttocks Lift Can Fix That Right Up
It is mortifying to have loose skin that makes your buttocks look saggy. This issue is caused by a few different factors, including the natural aging process, gravity, fluctuations in weight, and genetics.
Your buttocks may begin to lose its firmness and shape over the course of time, but there’s no need to worry because with a popular surgical procedure known as the butt lift, you can improve the shape and size of your buttocks.
What Is A Butt Lift?
A Butt Lift is a procedure that involves the removal of excess fat and skin through liposuction and excision from the gluteal area to make it firmer and improve its appearance. It is a cosmetic procedure that raises and tightens the skin over the buttocks.
It addresses issues like loose skin in the buttocks region and the appearance of a low, hanging buttocks. While this procedure isn’t designed to increase the size of the buttocks, it can help recontour it to appear more uplifted and perky.
Who Is An Ideal Candidate For A Butt Lift?
Before making a decision, you must find out whether you are an ideal candidate for this procedure. You should schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon to receive the proper guidance on whether or not you’ll make a good candidate for the surgery.
The best candidates for a butt lift surgery are:
• Individuals who have lost skin elasticity in the buttocks due to significant changes in weight.
• Individuals who have wrinkled and flabby thighs due to lack of exercise
• Individuals who are non-smokers or are willing to quit for several weeks before and after the procedure.
• People who have a stable mind and a positive outlook with realistic goals and expectations.
• People who committed to leading a healthy lifestyle and can maintain a steady weight for at least a year.
What Happens During The Butt Lift Procedure?
Before the procedure begins, your doctor will administer general anesthesia to prevent any pain or discomfort. It is an outpatient surgery, so you will be able to return home soon after it is completed. A catheter will be placed into your bladder to collect urine. Sequential compression boots will hold your legs and prevent blood clotting during the operation and after.
Your doctor will then proceed to make an incision at the top of your buttocks, at the hips, groin or under your buttocks, depending on where the excess skin lies. Tubes are placed under the incisions to drain out any excess blood or fluid.
These incisions will then be stitched up and closed in layers for the skin to remain tight and firm. You will need to wear a supportive garment to provide support during your healing process.
What Happens After The Surgery?
Initially, you will be advised to avoid any strenuous physical activity for up to three months after the surgery. You should not sit for one week as it could cause stress to the operated area. As the months go by, you can gradually increase your activity level.
What Results to Expect After a Butt Lift Surgery
You will be able to see results after the surgery, almost immediately, but you will need to give it time to heal before you’ll see how it looks in the end. It could take a couple of months for the final results to develop fully, but, ultimately, your buttocks will have a more toned appearance.
